Accordion Repairs

All repairs to accordions, melodeons and concertinas are undertaken, from minor mechanical or tuning problems to complete overhaul.

A full overhaul involved the removal of all the reeds from the wooden reed blocks, laid out on trays, cleaned thoroughly, re-valved, re-waxed back on to the wooden blocks and finally re-tuned. The keyboards and bass mechanisms are dismantled, cleaned and reassembled, with new pads made if necessary. The work takes approximately 2 weeks, and the cost is between €300 and €700 depending of the size of the instrument and its condition.
